In this unit a group of students will be required to design, build and test an appliance. The students will be presented with a list of available technologies (hardware and software) at the beginning of the year, a list of example projects, and will be required to submit two proposals. One proposal will be selected by the marking panel, and has to be designed, implemented, tested and demonstrated. The emphasis is that the students come up with the mission, and have to make a complete implementation.
