This programme is the first healthcare masters programme that tailors the learning objectives towards specific professional needs, determined by a candidate’s career trajectory. It will create a closer educational relationship with the NHS and give rise to a cadre of clinician scientists with the skills to contribute to the research output of the university.
The normal progression rules will not apply to this programme as all units run concurrently, however within individual units there is the sequential development of skills. This format is necessary to allow the programme to be deliverable for candidates working in a full time clinical training role, and is a unique characteristic of this course.
Additional costs: as a part of your MSc you will be required to spend up to 48 days in Bristol to attend lectures, meetings and examinations. Please be aware that this is a compulsory part of the programme. Students should budget for extra costs to cover accommodation, travel and cost of living and such subsequent trips to Bristol, if you are required to resit an examination. Please also note you will be expected to have access to a laptop for the length of the MSc.
