Our team
All of the FAB Kids team members are dedicated to increasing levels of physical activity and healthy lifestyles in children and adults.
All members of the team had a lovely manner with children and quickly established a positive rapport. Not always easy!
Founders
FAB Kids was founded in 2014 by three staff members from within the Centre for Exercise, Nutrition and Health Sciences who identified a gap in public health related outreach in primary schools.

Project Manager
Beyond work Mark is a passionate runner and a dad.

Kate Banfield
Research Associate
Kate specialises in evaluating intervention projects at work. A keen hockey player, Kate plays every weekend for Clifton Robinsons.

Byron Tibbitts
Senior Research Associate/Trial Manager
Byron runs research trials within the Centre, and outside of work plays touch rugby for England and loves keeping fit.
Delivery team
The delivery team that comes out to your school will be a mixture of up to six staff members or postgraduate students from within the Centre for Exercise, Nutrition & Health Sciences, usually including some of the founding members! Our team have all had Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS, formerly CRB) checks.
Team members have also been specially trained in delivery, and all activities have been designed with safety in mind (from our smooth edged jigsaw, to the physically active tasks children do).
