Research

Research at the Centre for Gender and Violence Research is grounded in feminist research methods and approaches to gender based violence.

Staff at the centre undertake research intending to make a positive difference to the lives of anyone touched by gender based violenceincluding survivors and perpetrators, whether adults or children, and professionals who may work with them. Our research informs understanding of gender based violence, policy, practice and action, in the UK and beyond.

Both quantitative and qualitative methods are used in our research, and our projects are usually conducted in collaboration with survivor organisations and others working to tackle gender based violence.
