Annual Policy & Politics lecture showcases student talent

Last week, the annual lecture organised by the Policy and Politics journal, saw the Rt Honourable Baroness Sayeeda Warsi speak on the subject of being muslim in Britain.
The event at the Wills Memorial building, which drew a 500-strong audience, also provided an excellent platform to celebrate some of the rising stars within the School studying on our BSc Social Policy and MSc Public Policy programmes. Congratulations go to…
Alex Wallace - Winner of the 2019 MSc Public Policy essay on Power, Politics and Policy Process. Alex's essay was entitled: 'With reference to the theory of street-level bureaucracy, critically assess how 'agency' can impact on the policy process'.
Oliver Loveday-Fuller - Winner of the 2019 BSc Social Policy essay prize on Understanding Public Policy. The title of Oli's essay was ‘Assess the relative merits of choice and voice as mechanisms for improving policy outcomes and public service quality’.
