Overview:

A Bristol graduate with over 20 years’ experience, Claire is a public health specialist with a remit around the wider determinants of health, which includes the built and natural environment, so input into planning, transport and food systems are key to her work.
Claire co-ordinated and wrote the bid for Bristol to achieve Sustainable Food City status in March 2016 and is working on the SugarSmart initiative for the city. She is also currently providing input to the Joint Spatial Plan, which is the planning document to shape development in the West of England over the next 20 years.
Hosted by the Faculty’s Professional Liaison Network, the Inside Track Lecture Series give students the opportunity to hear first-hand from professionals in a range of sectors and jobs. Lectures are followed by light refreshments and networking.
