B:Active Residences
What is B:Active Residences?
B:Active Residences is a free programme of fitness and social sport activities exclusively for University of Bristol students living in university-allocated residential accommodation.
Students can attend unlimited sessions every week, across all three locations, regardless of which Village they are living in.
- East Village activity hub: Indoor Sport Centre
- West Village activity hub: Manor Hall and Clifton Hill House
- North Village activity hub: Hiatt Baker
What's on?
Sessions finish for the academic year 22/23 on Sunday 11 June, but there will still be some sessions at Langford Campus and for PGRs throughout the summer.
All B:Active Residences sessions can be viewed and booked in the University of Bristol Active APP or online.
Frequently asked questions
How do I book?
B:Active Residences sessions need to be booked in advance. You can view all sessions and book online via the University of Bristol Sport APP or online.
If you are booking online:
- Log in via the Buy and Book Online page
- Click 'Make a Booking'
- Select the 'Club' (this will be the Indoor Sports Centre for social sport sessions in the Sports Hall, 'Residences' for sessions at Manor Hall, Clifton Hill House or Hiatt Baker or 'Wills Hall' for any Tennis activities)
- Click the specific session you are looking for, or view the timetable for that location
- Click 'book' or join the wait list
Who will be there?
B:Active Residences sessions are exclusively for students at Bristol living in University-allocated accommodation, so they are a great way to meet people living in your Village.
As well as our friendly instructors, coaches and student leaders, you'll also meet our Activators. Activators are students who are there to make sure you’re settled in and can answer questions you may have about the programme, bookings or active life at Bristol in general.
Are B:Active Residences sessions free?
Yes! All B:Active sessions (including B:Active Campus sessions) are free for students!
