Maria Arnold

I have always loved the water and started my swimming journey in Poland where I was born. At the age of 1.5, I learned to swim in a lake with the help of my parents! This is where I grew to love open water swimming and swiftly progressed into club swimming and followed training routines through to national level.

I qualified as a Swimming Teacher over 20 years ago and I have taught and coached at all levels throughout my career.

I specialize in teaching those who have had a negative experience of water in the past by building their confidence and self-belief along with improving their swimming technique. I have found my NLP practitioner qualifications and my mentoring skills very helpful with this process. Currently I am working with improving mental health with open water swimming.

My main aim and philosophy are to pass on my love and enjoyment of water to anyone who I teach or coach!

Level 2 Swimming Teacher with Swim England, Open Water Swimming Coach, RLSS Trainer Assessor and (NPLQ) National Pool Lifeguard
