Research Associate Rhiannon Macefield to give two presentations at the upcoming Infection Prevention Society (IPS) Annual Conference

Research Associate,  Rhiannon Macefield, is looking ahead to giving two presentations at the upcoming Infection Prevention Society (IPS) Annual Conference in Liverpool on the 28th-30th Sept 2015. Both oral presentations will cover some of the extensive work undertaken within the Bluebelle study and its collaborators:

  • Development of a single, practical measure of surgical site infection (SSI) for patient self-report or observer completion (Rhiannon Macefield, Alex Nicholson, Thomas Milne, Thomas Pinkney, Mel Calvert, Kerry Avery, Barnaby Reeves, Jane Blazeby, and ‘SPARCS’ members, on behalf of the Bluebelle Study Group)
  • A feasibility study to establish if a main trial of different dressing types or ‘no dressing’ is possible to reduce the risk of surgical site infection (SSI)The Bluebelle study (Rhiannon Macefield on behalf of the Bluebelle Study Group)
