Imagining Regulation Differently Launch Event

28 January 2020, 4.00 PM - 15 January 2020, 7.00 PM

The Station, Silver Street, Bristol, BS12AG

You are warmly invited to the launch of Imagining Regulation Differently edited by Morag McDermont, Tim Cole, Janet Newman and Angela Piccini.

The book introduces the results of a 5-year collaboration between English and Welsh community organisations and the Universities of Bristol and Cardiff exploring how regulation can both constrain and further engagement in decision-making. The Connected Communities research programme started from the point that people and communities excluded from decision-making have the expertise, experience and creativity to be politically productive.

This community event offers a chance to watch a number of original films and performances that came out of the research, as well as hear a panel of community activists, artists and academics involved with the programme discuss how universities and communities can work better together to make positive change.
