Treatment

• Remove cause if possible

• Occlude tubules

  • topical potassium ions - Sensodyne
  • potassium oxalate - precipitates calcium oxalate crystals
  • hydroxyapatite - at experimental stage
  • insulative restoration

• May have to remove pulp and root fill tooth
