Edna Keeney is a Senior Research Associate and PhD student in Statistical and Health Economic modelling. Edna's current role involves using empirical data from the ProtecT and CAP trials on the natural history of prostate cancer to populate a decision-analytic model of cancer progression that will estimate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of a range of screening options in the UK. Her PhD focuses on methods of dealing with uncertainty in cost-effectiveness models of screening interventions.
Her research expertise is in cost-effectiveness modelling including decision trees, Markov models and individual simulation models and evidence synthesis including network meta-analysis methods.
Edna has published her research in peer-reviewed journals such as the British Medical Journal (BMJ), PharmacoEconomics and Value in Health. She has presented her research at national and international conferences including the UK Health Economists’ Study Group (HESG) and The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).
