I am an oesophago-gastric and general surgeon working at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. I undertook my medical degree at the University of Cambridge, and completed my surgical training in the Wessex and Severn regions. I gained additional sub-specialist experience on the Royal College of Surgeons Oesophago-gastric Cancer Fellowship at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London.
I completed my PhD at Imperial College London before moving to Bristol in 2015. With the team in Bristol, I have been working to better understand the relationship between clinical trials and usual surgical practice. This has involved developing a new methodology, and pilot work to establish its utility.
