The Office provides a comprehensive service to over 300 clients per year advising them of their housing rights. This includes representation at Court when necessary. In a recent case they represented students seeking to reclaim a rent deposit they had paid to a landlord. The claim was successful resulting in repayment of the £1,500 they were entitled to.
Elizabeth Moss, one of the students, said: "The Accommodation Office were brilliant. Without their help and support it is unlikely we would have secured the £1,500 owing to us. Obviously this is a substantial amount of money for us as students struggling to pay our way through university."
