Troubleshooting

If you can't get your printer working from your own device, there are a number of alternatives that might help you to get your document printed. 

  • Check your Print Credit balance, you need enough credit on your account before you can print.
  • Email the document to yourself (or use Google Drive) and then use a University computer, which will have the printers present.
  • Access your personal My Files Filestore (O: drive) from your computer, copy your document to it and then print from a University computer.
  • Logon to the Student Remote Desktop which will let you either access your personal filestore or your computer's hard drive and will have the Print Release printers present.
  • For Apple Mac owners, we recommend upgrading your operating system to OSX 10.9 (Mavericks). This is a free upgrade from OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) onwards but see our Apple Mac support pages or check with your nearest Apple Store to find out if this is possible from your laptop and how to do it.
