Who can access it?

The DataHub is available to all members of staff within the University who require read-only access to data within one of the University's central administrative systems such as PIMS or SITS.

In order to get a new account, you will be required to answer a few details about yourself and how you wish to use the account. Once an account has been set up, you will be sent your relevant account details with instructions of how to log on.

As the DataHub is a database, using it requires some understanding of database tools (ODBC, a RDBMS package - e.g. Microsoft Access) and designing and building queries (using SQL or Access query designer or wizards). Several training courses are available on the subject of 'Using and designing Access databases', which can be found on the staff development website.
