Off-site Proxy

The off-site proxy is no longer available to install.

Some resources (for example quite a few eJournals and some UoB web pages) require that your computer is on the University network in order to validate your right to access that resource.

The Library now recommend you use the search tools and links provided by the Library when accessing electronic resources off-site. In doing this you will be directed through the University's new proxy server (known as EZProxy) and prompted for your University of Bristol username and password. Further information can be found on the Access electronic resources page.

If you already have the off-site proxy installed you may continue to use it. However, the service is deprecated and we would recommend that you remove it from your browser. Instructions on removing the offsite proxy are available.

Please note that the off-site proxy is no longer supported but will remain available for current users till August 2018 when the service will cease.
