Research/Clinician Infection and Immunity Matchmaking Meeting

31 January 2022, 2.00 PM - 31 January 2022, 3.30 PM

online

Hosted by the Infection and Immunity Research Network at the University of Bristol

This 90 minute session aims to foster collaborations between University of Bristol researchers and clinicians in the Bristol area. Clinicians and researchers are invited to give maximum 5-minute presentations either live (via Zoom) or pre-recorded on:

  • Who you are and what you do
  • What you would like to do from a research perspective (for example, analyse the biomarkers for disease X, or the clinical predictors for mortality for patients admitted with disease Y)
  • What you can offer to others for research (for exmaple, data, samples, access to equipment)

Topics are not restricted to the above areas and other contributions are welcome, e.g. if you have things to offer rather than needs to be met or if you feel it more appropriate to present what your lab does rather than what you do.

To express an interest in presenting please contact Phil Bright, Clinical Immunulogist at the North Bristol Trust.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PRESENT TO TAKE PART

We welcome participation from all colleagues across the University and the two Bristol NHS Trusts who feel they might benefit from learning more about clinical challenges and the translational pathway, are interested in hearing from researchers and clinical researchers , and/or are looking to make contact with colleagues further afield. We anticipate participation from chemists, mathematicians, modellers, computer scientists, statisticians, epidemiologists and synthetic biologists, as well as a range of clinicians from NBT and UHBW.

Attendance is free but registration is required: https://red.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/translational
