University of Bristol webinar to mark the internal launch of new centre for Africa research and partnerships

We are delighted to announce a forthcoming webinar, hosted by the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost, to mark the internal launch of the University of Bristol’s new Perivoli Africa Research Centre (PARC).

The decision to establish PARC marks a unique and important departure for the University – geared not only to expanding and increasing the visibility of our Africa-focused work, but also to reimagining how we, and other UK universities, can work with African partners to help drive positive social and economic change on the continent.

This internal launch event will offer an opportunity for the University of Bristol community to:

• Hear about the PARC journey so far and the key perspectives that have informed it
• Learn from the PARC director, Professor Isabella Aboderin, Chair in Africa Research and Partnerships ​about the strategic themes and ambitions of PARC
• Reflect on expectations, opportunities and challenges for PARC
• Share suggestions with the PARC team to help shape the Centre's evolving strategy
