Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summer School
Do you want to learn how to turn your world-changing big idea into a business, start-up, or social venture through collaborative and engaging workshops? If so, this three-week summer school is for you.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis so we may close for applications in advance of the final deadline.
We offer a £200 discount for mobility partner students (please contact us if you are unsure about your status) and for early-bird applicants who apply by 1 April 2021.
|Credits||Upon successful completion of the programme students will receive 10 academic credits, suggested as equivalent to 5 ECTS or 3 US semester credits.|
About this programme
Is it for me?
This summer school is activity-driven and solution-focused and welcomes students from any discipline. You will learn the tools and techniques to create innovative solutions and make your ideas a reality.
What will I learn?
The programme will build your skills and teach you how to make an impact on employers in all types of organisations. In-class workshops are complemented by industry engagement sessions across Bristol, a dynamic city known for its small businesses and creativity.
Over the course of the summer school you will:
- Develop a business proposal, build a business plan, and pitch to potential clients in a safe and supportive environment
- Apply cutting-edge theory, tools, techniques, and skills to develop a robust enterprise plan
- Engage with local industry through company visits
- Investigate and evaluate different business models and environments for an enterprise
- Explain key theories and concepts in entrepreneurship
- Reflect on the experience of developing an idea through to a potential start-up within the course
- Engage strategic thinking to create a sustainable and successful entrepreneurial project
- Learn key influencing and presentation techniques.
You must meet all of the below requirements to be eligible for this summer school.
|Study level||Currently studying at undergraduate level|
|Academic requirements||GPA equivalent to 60-63% on the UK scale, C on the ECTS scale, or 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale|
|English language requirements||If English is not your first language, you need to meet our English language Profile G. You can see the tests and levels we accept by clicking the 'English Language Proficiency Tests' tab. If you took the CET-4 or CET-6 tests please contact us directly in order to find out what scores we will accept.|
|Age||18 or over|

- A current university transcript
- A short (maximum 250 words) statement explaining why you are applying to this summer school
- Evidence of your English language skills if relevant.
