Unpacking Fieldwork in Challenging Settings

31 January 2020, 1.30 PM - 31 January 2020, 5.30 PM

We would like to invite you to our seminar series “Unpacking Fieldwork in Challenging Settings”.

Our first seminar entitled “Logistics & methods during fieldwork”: As changing as the British weather! will be held on Friday 31st January 2020 at the University of Bristol, Verdon Smith Room (Royal Fort House)

This seminar (the first in a three-part series) will address common logistical and methodological challenges encountered by researchers prior to and during fieldwork. It will also examine how methods can change during fieldwork and how to respond to the same.

The goal of this seminar is to share tips and provide practical advice to address doubts and identify best practice. This seminar will adopt the format of a forum where participants are encouraged to share their experiences, observations and questions.

We will be giving more information about the seminar dynamics later on, but it will be developed in part according to the needs of the group.
