Installation steps

  1. If MS Word is running, close it
  2. Download ESU-1.zip and extract it
  3. Copy the folder ESU-1 to the correct location on your C drive. Be sure to copy the folder that contains files and not the one that contains another folder called ESU-1. The location is slightly different depending on which version of Wimba Create you have installed:

    If you are running Wimba Create 2.4.1 copy to C:\Program Files\ courseGenie\resources\en.lproj\schemes

    If you are running Wimba Create 2.5.5 copy to C:\Program Files\WimbaCreate\resources\en.lproj\schemes

  4. Close any open folders and restart MS Word and start Wimba Create
  5. You now need to change some settings in Wimba Create so click on the 'Add-Ins' tab, the top 'WimbaCreate' menu and choose 'Settings'
  6. In the window that opens make following changes:
    1. Set up the footer text. To do this click on the Footer text link near the bottom of the page and copy the text that appears in the pop up. Under the 'General' tab in the setting window paste the text into the 'Footer' area.
    2. Also under the 'General' tab change the 'Scheme' to English-US ESU-1
    3. Next click on the 'Navigation' tab and change 'Column width in pixels' to 220
  7. Click 'OK' to save the settings
  8. When you next Generate Course the ESU style will be applied.

Tip: when linking to your generated tutorial you might consider linking to page_01.htm rather than index.html. Personally I think it looks better and saves the user what seems to me an additional click to get started. That's the approach I've taken with this resource.
