The EarthArt Initiative
The artworks displayed in this area of the University are part of an ongoing collaboration between Bristol based artists and staff and students from the School of Earth Sciences and wider academic community at the University of Bristol.
The 2019 EarthArt Fellowships are made possible through a generous donation from Sarah Robinson in memory of her late husband, artist David Robinson.
'NOTES FROM THE SUBSURFACE' by Charlie Tweed
Our new exhibition 'Notes from the subsurface' by Charlie Tweed is now open.
During his EarthArt Fellowship Charlie Tweed worked closely with Dr Tom Williams and Dr Heather Buss to interrogate what life looks like in extreme exotic conditions such as high acidic, high temperature, high radiation or extra-terrestrial environments. The result is a new speculative fiction film interrogating human relationships with technology, collectives and non-humans.
