16th International Conference on Textile Composites (TexComp)
9-11 September 2026, Bristol, U.K.
The TexComp conferences were initiated by Prof. Verpoest in 1992 in Leuven, and have toured the world, ever since. The Bristol Composites Institute (BCI) will host the 16th International Conference on Textile Composites (TexComp) in Bristol (UK) on 9-11 September 2026.
TexComp-2026 is an international conference dedicated to composites reinforced with textiles and other complex fibrous architecture. The unique possibility to control the composite properties by clever design of the reinforcement and manufacturing and cost advantages, offered by textiles, lead to wide use of textile composites in aeronautic, automotive, civil engineering, marine, medicine, sport, wind energy and other applications.
Scope
Conference topics include all aspects of textile composites and their reinforcements:
- Experimental Studies
- Modelling
- Design
- Manufacturing
- Properties
- Performance
- Applications
- Sustainability
Research on composites produced by other advanced preforming technologies is also welcome.
Format
TexComp-2026 is a three-day conference, which will include keynotes (plenary), regular oral presentations in two/three parallel sessions, and posters with dedicated sessions of mini-presentations. The conference will be “abstracts only”. There will also be a poster competition, in which all attending poster presenters will automatically participate.
