New research network established on ancient Stoicism and modern continental philosophy
18 February 2016
Throughout 2016, Dr Kurt Lampe will be the principal investigator for a research network on ancient Greek and Roman Stoicism and modern continental philosophy.
The goal of this network is to explore how dialogues between these traditions can be poetically and philosophically rewarding, addressing big questions like freedom, self-cultivation and self-mastery, the nature of reality, and our relation to sacred or numinous powers.
The project will involve a range of both academic conferences and outreach activities. More information about these activities can be found at Kurt's project blog, www.stoicisms.wordpress.com.
