Dr Orly Razgour has been awarded the John C. Marsden Medal 2014 by the Linnean Society
Dr Orly Razgour, PhD graduate from the School of Biological Sciences has been awarded the John C. Marsden Medal 2014 by the Linnean Society. The medal is awarded for the best thesis in biology examined for a doctorate of philosophy during a single academic year. The President of the Linnean Society will present Orly with the medal at the Society’s headquarters (Burlington House, London) on 23 May. Her thesis was titled 'From genes to landscapes: conservation biology of the grey long-eared bat, Plecotus austriacus, across spatio-temporal scales'. Orly published 4 papers from her thesis, including publications in leading ecology journals Ecology Letters and Diversity and Distributions, and she also produced a conservation management plan available here.
