Dr Dorothy Price has been working with contemporary British painter Chantal Joffe over the past year and has co-curated an exhibition of Chantal's work, in dialogue with the work of German painter Paula Modersohn-Becker (1876-1907) at The Lowry arts centre in Salford, as part of their 'Week 53' festival. The theme of the festival is 'Coming of Age' and Chantal's work focuses on images of herself and her 13-year-old daughter Esme, from birth to the present. More information here. The exhibition was recently reviewed in the Financial Times here. It runs until 2 September 2018. See https://www.thelowry.com/exhibitions/chantal-joffe

Dr Dorothy Price has also been working with Emma Chambers on the exhibition ‘Aftermath: Art in the Wake of World War One’ at Tate Britain which opens on 5 June and looks at the impact of WW1 on British, French and German art. See https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-britain/exhibition/aftermath
