PhD student Klairi Angelou to speak at two summer conferences

Doctoral student Klairi Angelou will be delivering two papers at prestigious conferences over the summer.

Doctoral student Klairi Angelou will be delivering two papers at prestigious conferences over the summer.

She will speak at the SMGS (Society for Modern Greek Studies) 2014 Graduate Research Colloquium which will take place on Thursday, 12 June, at the University of Birmingham. Her paper is titled 'Modern Greek sculpture: in quest of a national and international identity (as seen through the work of Jeanne Spiteris-Veropoulou, 1920-2000)'. The other paper she will give will be part of the EAM 2014 Conference (European Network for Avant-Garde and Modernism Studies) which will be held between 29 and 31 August at the University of Helsinki in Finland and will deal with the theme of UTOPIA. Her paper is titled 'Remapping and reimagining Modernism: the case of Greek Modernism' and will be presented as part of the session 'Questioning/Challenging Modernism/Modernity'.
