Theatre exhibition opens Thursday 16 December, curated by students taking the MA in History of Art.

An exhibition curated by students taking the MA in the History of Art is opening this Thursday, 16 December in the Theatre Collection foyer, entrance at 21 Park Row, from 3.00pm - 5.00pm. The exhibition is called 'Shakespeare's Villains: Images from the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, 1814-1978".

All are welcome; wine and mince pies will be served.

The exhibition will examine the visual representation of Shakespeare's villains, from Mrs Siddons' Lady Macbeth to Laurence Olivier's Richard III. The exhibits are drawn from the rich collections of the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, and include prints, drawings, paintings, photographs, stage props and original costume designs.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 17 December to 12 February (closed 23 December - 5 January), Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm.
