Cambridge Branch Spring Lecture and drinks reception

George Ferguson CBE, RIBA (BA 1968, BArch 1971, Honorary MA 1999), who in 2012 became the first ever elected Mayor of Bristol, will deliver this year's lecture: ‘Bristol - the Making of a European Green Capital.’

His lecture begins at 5 pm and will be preceded by a short AGM at 4.45 pm. Afterwards, we are privileged to have drinks and snacks in the Fellow’s Dining Room, an opportunity to meet Bristol alumni and friends.

About George Ferguson

Before entering politics, George was an acclaimed architect and social entrepreneur. He was appointed a CBE in the 2010 New Year’s Honours for services to architecture and the community. George studied architecture at Bristol in 1965 and went on to co-found Ferguson Mann Architects. He is a past president of the Royal Institute of British Architects. George is also a successful social entrepreneur, founding the Tobacco Factory project. He also founded the Bristol Beer Factory brewery.
