Offer careers advice

As a Bristol graduate, you’re a great role model for our current students, and your advice and support is really valuable.

In return for sharing your knowledge and experience with students and recent graduates, you'll extend your own professional network, develop your support skills, spot promising student talent and raise the profile of your organisation.

There are a number of ways you can help Bristol students:

  • Join our Careers Network – a community of more than 850 alumni who are happy to answer questions over email from current students about their careers, professions or entrepreneurial activities. Joining the network only takes a few minutes, and any messages you receive from students will be approved before they reach your inbox. You'll also be able to update your profile at any time.
  • Support engineers through the Faculty’s Industrial Mentoring Scheme.
  • Take part in the University of Bristol internship scheme if you work for a small or medium enterprise.

We're always looking for alumni to return to Bristol and talk about their careers, and you can find out more about ways to get involved on the Careers Service webpages.

In the meantime, don’t forget to join our network of more than 19,000 Bristol alumni and students on LinkedIn.
