Wednesday Afternoons

Wednesday is wall day, at least until the sun shines again!  Bristol has a great climbing wall – Bristol Undercover Rock in St. Werburghs.  It’s a converted church with top roped and leading routes, a new bouldering wall and fantastic carrot cake.

For the first few weeks we have a deal with the wall; they’ll teach you the basics and get you competent enough to climb for a small fee of £5.  The wall staff will be running 3 sessions, 2 on Wednesday and 1 on Friday over 2 weeks.  They will train you one week and assess you the next, so please make sure you book yourself in for one of these.  Old club members will also be around to help you out, so come down and have a go.

We meet outside the Arts and Social Science library (Tyndall Avenue) at 1pm every Wednesday. Please be there on time, as we must arrive sharpish to get discounted entry.

Bring along trainers – rock boots are available to hire if you want them.  Sahar will have harnesses and belay plates for all that need them.
