Massif des Ecrins, The Alps 2000

Same old place, different people, completely different holiday! We travelled by bus, ferry and train from Bristol to Ailefroide (near Briancon). We climbed mountains, rock routes, boulders and even trees... and we drunk the town dry! Notably we managed to knock 12 hours off the UBMC record for complete traverse of the Pelvoux... still 5 hours over guide-book time!
