The release Helicon is the result of of months of hard work, so each term's issue is celebrated with a night of fun for anyone who fancies coming along.

The winter 2006 launch party took place on Tuesday, December 5th at Warehouse, on the waterfront. Entertainment included live bands playing funk and upbeat indie, followed by a mix of DJs.

The night started with screenings of short films, including 'Checkpoint' by Joe Oppenheimer: a documentary about checkpoints in Israel. Joe was on hand after the screening to talk about his work with partygoers.

Popcorn, cakes, cheap drinks and CDs were also on offer, and all this was available for a mere £3.50 entry fee.

Watch this space for news of the next party, and please get in touch if you know a band, DJ or anyone else who'd be interested in performing.
