Welcome to the University of Bristol Level III Advanced Organic Laboratory. These pages have been designed as a reference tool, to aid the reader in writing-up. In addition to the practical scripts and course information provided in the handbook, these pages contain links to On-line journals, Chemistry databases, links to other useful Chemistry resources on the Internet and interactive 3D molecular models.
Clicking on the highlighted entries in the 'Contents' frame on the
left will display the items in this frame. The Reaction schemes are displayed under the Compuserve GIF format so you will need to
have images enabled on your browser.
Note: Some of these pages make use of the MDL plugin Chemscape Chime, this allows 3D molecular structures to be displayed in web pages. If your browser
has Chemscape Chime installed properly you will see a rotating toluene molecule below. If not, the plugin can be dowloaded free from MDL.
There may be some problems viewing these pages with the new version of this plugin (Version 2.0 Beta 4). If you encounter any difficulties, try the alternative links provided. To check which version you have installed, right click with the mouse on the toluene molecule and select About... from the menu.
