WUN in Bristol

Photograph of WUN Academics in BristolThe University of Bristol became a member of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) in 2001. The University's membership of WUN and the opportunities it offers to forge close partnerships with leading institutions around the globe will help us to achieve our goals and ensure that Bristol remains a world class institution.

By working with multiple partners, locally, nationally and internationally, Bristol provides a dynamic, flexible and innovative environment for learning, discovery and enterprise. Staff and students across the university are encouraged to participate in WUN's broad portfolio of activities.

In Bristol WUN activities are overseen by the University Research Committee and a local WUN Steering Group, chaired by the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research.  WUN activities in Bristol are coordinated by the Bristol WUN Development Manager.

By working together, WUN can and will have a dramatic impact on higher education and the challenges of the contemporary world.

I regard Bristol's involvement with WUN as critical to the University's progress towards global status and I am very proud that Bristol is a member of this key organisation. I look forward to continuing my participation in WUN initiatives and would encourage everyone in Bristol to take advantage of the innovative opportunities WUN provides."
