Further information is available on the WUN website.
Applications are welcome from research staff at all levels (although priority is given to early career researchers) and PhD students at Bristol in all academic areas, both in existing WUN research areas and new areas with the potential/ promise for developing a sustainable WUN collaboration.
Priority is given to well-defined proposals which demonstrate a clear benefit to the applicant, department, University of Bristol and WUN. Applicants should indicate how their department will contribute towards the proposed visit and should demonstrate how the collaboration will be sustained following the visit.
PhD research students are reminded that the purpose of the scheme is to undertake research overseas and to cultivate research links and hence is not appropriate for students in either the very early or final stages of their PhD.
The University of Bristol will provide funding for an international economy airfare and a contribution towards subsistence costs (up to a maximum of £800 per month). The University will also consider funding for research expenses, not exceeding 10 percent of the total cost for flights and subsistence, where these have been fully justified.
To apply, please complete the correct RMP application form. Applications should be sent electronically (merged into one PDF document) to Laura Dean (email@example.com) before the relevant deadline (please see below).
The closing dates for applications in 2012/13 are 5pm on Friday 30 November 2012 and Friday 15 March 2013.
Please note that the University of Bristol requires awards to be taken up within twelve months of the date of application.
Applications are assessed by the Bristol WUN Steering Group.
