HyVolution Super-Resolution - Workshop 13 th /14 th December 2016
12 December 2016
The Wolfson Bioimaging Facility’s second ‘super-resolution’ technique has arrived now our STED confocal has been upgraded to enable HyVolution II confocal imaging. In this technique, confocal images are acquired with decreased pinhole size and resulting images rapidly deconvolved to provide up to two-fold improvement in resolution. Although less powerful than STED, Hyvolution is more broadly applicable to specimens prepared for standard confocal microscopy and can be used with multiple fluorescent labels.
A workshop to introduce the technique will be held 13 th and 14 th December starting with a presentation at 1pm on 13 th Dec in D30M (Biomedical Sciences) and followed by demo sessions on the system until lunch on 14 th Dec. Please let Mark know if you wish to attend a demo session.
