BVI hosted the first Bristol Vision Symposium on Thursday 17 December 2009.
BVI hosted the first Bristol Vision Symposium on Thursday 17 December 2009. The symposium attracted an impressive 119 local, national and international delegates. The three themed sessions (computational models of vision, engineering applications of vision and visual aesthetics) all ended with lively discussions. Professor Ian Christie, Anniversary Professor of Film and Media History at Birkbeck College, University of London gave an excellent keynote lecture "What do we see in films?". The day ended with a festive symposium dinner in honour of Professor Richard Gregory.
