The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at Bristol is one of the leading centres of high quality and high impact social science research in the UK. It offers excellent support for research and research-related activities, and actively cultivates an inter-school, inter-disciplinary ethos.
The Faculty leads or co-leads two of the University’s Specialist Research Institutes, the Bristol Poverty Institute and the Bristol Institute for Migration and Mobility Studies.
Each of the Faculty’s Schools has a vibrant research environment and hosts a number of research centres and themes.
There are also a number of Faculty Research Groups that bring together academics from across the Faculty who are interested in taking an interdisciplinary approach to exploring themes of Faculty-wide interest.
