Our aim is to provide a clinical ophthalmic genetic service and carry out novel molecular research into inherited eye diseases. We also offer a small screening service, on a research basis, for individual families attending our clinic to help in the management of their condition.
The Molecular Ophthalmology Research laboratory is based at Bristol Eye Hospital and has facilities for DNA extraction, PCR amplification and automated mutation screening.
