School Research Seminar

The third School Research Seminar of 09/10 will be held in Lecture Theatre 2 (please note change of venue) at 4.15pm next Tuesday afternoon, 2 February. This will be followed, as usual, by refreshments in the School of Humanities common room, 11 Woodland Road.
The organiser, on behalf of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, is Jon Balserak. The topic is 'Hatred and Tolerance', with several participants:
- Fernando Cervantes (Department of Historical Studies), 'Moors, Turks and Christians in the Hispanic World'
- Kenneth Austin (Historical Studies): 'Building Bridges in the Reformation: The Correspondence of Theodore Beza'
- Laurence Publicover (Department of English): who will speak on tolerance and intolerance in early modern dramas of cultural encounter
- Jon Balserak (Department of Theology and Religious Studies): who will speak on: John Calvin and intolerance
