Three members of Theatre staff shortlisted for Major Awards

Good news for three members of academic staff in the Department! Dr Paul Clarke, Dr Catherine Hindson and Dr Kirsty Sedgman have all been shortlisted for awards that recognise the excellence of their work. The Lost Palace, the interactive visitor experience that Paul Clarke collaborated on for Historic Royal Palaces has been shortlisted for a Museums and Heritage Award in the Innovation category and was also shortlisted by the jury for an IXDA award in 2017. Catherine Hindson’s 2016 book London’s West End Actresses and the Origins of Celebrity Charity, 1880-1920 (University of Iowa Press) was shortlisted as one of six finalists for the Theatre Book Prize 2017. Kirsty Sedgman’s research on theatre audiences has been shortlisted for the The TaPRA New Career Research in Theatre/Performance Prize.
