The Oliver Messel Personal Archive: Spring Update, 2017

8 June 2017

An update on the The Oliver Messel Personal Archive project, Sharing the Messel Magic, from our project archivist Emma Howgill

We are now approaching the quarter way mark on our Heritage Lottery Funded project, Sharing the Messel Magic. Over the last six months a comprehensive survey of the collection has been conducted and over 12,000 individual items listed. We are now embarking on detailed sorting of the collection before cataloguing can take place and preparing material for repackaging and further investigation by our dedicated volunteers. This work has been generously funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the National Manuscript Conservation Trust, the Noël Coward Foundation, the Linbury Trust and the Friends of the Theatre Collection.

There are still tickets left for Cocktails at the Concrete House, a fundraising event for the Sharing the Messel Magic Project, which will take place on Thursday June 15th. Click here for more information.
