Questionmark Perception

What is it?

Questionmark Perception (QMP) is a dedicated system for delivering and managing online formative, high-stakes summative assessment and examinations. It is widely used both in the academic and the commercial sector in the UK.

QMP offers a wide range of options when designing assessments and detailed feedback on assessment results. Students access tests via a web browser either synchronously (often in a computer lab) or in their own time on their own device, depending on how the test has been designed.

The University is currently using Version 5.7 of Questionmark Perception.

Why use it?

  • Broad range of question types
  • Flexible scoring options including partial scoring and negative marking
  • Enables adaptive testing
  • Powerful reporting engine with detailed statistics on questions and tests
