About BSc International Business Management

We all live and work in a world characterised by rapid technological and societal change on a global scale. To be effective in business and management in this multinational environment requires an understanding of the cultural, economic, political and social contexts in which organisations operate, both within and across national borders. The BSc International Business Management degree programme will develop your intellectual, analytical, critical and employability skills necessary to succeed as managers and leaders in careers across different sectors.

Course structure

First year

Your first year will introduce basic concepts and tools - both qualitative and quantitative - for the study of management, as well as exploring the global business environment and organisation theory. You will also learn relevant aspects of economics and accounting.

Second year

  • Analysis in Management
  • International Business Management
  • You will also study 80 credit points of options. We vary the range of options from time to time according to current developments in the disciplines of management, accounting, finance and law. For example, in the 2015/16 academic year we offered units including:
      • Management Science
      • Marketing
      • Project Management
      • Public Management
      • Foundations of Business Law
      • Management Accounting

Final year

  • The Practice of Management
  • Management Dissertation
  • International Human Resources Management
  • You will also study 40 credit points of options. We vary the range of options from time to time according to current developments in the disciplines of management, accounting, finance and law. For example, in the 2015/16 academic year we offered units including:
      • Advanced Management Accounting
