Talks for primary schools

We can give talks to pupils, staff and parents or carers on a variety of subjects:

  • how to apply to university
  • choosing your course / institution
  • writing your personal statement
  • student funding
  • student life.

All our talks can be tailored to areas that interest you. Please email with details of your enquiry.

How to book a talk

If you are a teacher at a school within an hour’s drive of the University of Bristol and would like to arrange for an academic to visit your school, please complete the Talks enquiry form (Office document, 36kB).

All talks are dependent on academic availability. Due to funding restrictions, talks are free to local state schools; fee paying schools may be asked to cover the costs of academic time and travel.

The children have remembered much of the discussion and used this information for their predictions in their own investigations about bones. They were all excited and many shared the information with their parents/carers.
