Keeping fit and well is important and following health guidance can help avoid illnesses like flu, norovirus and COVID-19.
If you feel unwell, you can:
If you need non-emergency medical attention, your local Minor Injury Unit is available, rather than going to your nearest A&E.
For international students, who may be unfamiliar with NHS services, we have written a rough guide to the NHS on the student blog.
Keeping safe on campus
Thank you for wearing a face covering inside University buildings, in shops and on public transport. If exempt from wearing a face covering, collect a green exemption lanyard from Card Services in Royal Fort Lodge.
Remember, washing your hands regularly reduces the spread of coronavirus and the "winter vomiting bug", norovirus.
Testing over the winter break
If you're staying in the UK for the winter break, but leaving Bristol, please take a lateral flow test before you travel. If you are travelling outside the UK, please read our advice for international students. Free home test kits are available across campus, from a local pharmacy, or to order online.
Please also report your test results online to the NHS whether positive, negative or void.
Further advice can be found on the health and safety webpages.
The health and wellbeing webpages are a great source of information and advice when you feel you need some extra support over the winter months.
There are also a number of events, activities, cultural celebrations and volunteering opportunities within the university.
