‘I have been a GP for 12 years, and have always been particularly interested in young people’s health care; I was an expedition medic with Raleigh International, worked as a police surgeon looking after victims of rape and sexual assault, and I have spent 10 years at Students’ Health, where I have set up a specialised Eating Disorder service. I also have a special interest in dermoscopy.’

‘I have been a GP for 16 years, 11 of them at the Students’ Health Service. I am interested in all aspects of student health and aim to provide a high standard of care to all my patients. I have a special interest in contraception and sexual health. One of my other roles at the Students’ Health service is to lead the practice’s NHS funded research interests.’

‘I joined the practice in 2003. I enjoy specialising in the various healthcare needs of our student population. As well as general surgeries I offer intrauterine contraception appointments. Outside work I aim to keep fit and spend time with my young family.’

‘I undertook my medical training in Bristol following a degree in Microbiology. I joined the practice in 2003 and have always enjoyed all the aspects of healthcare that our student population requires. I am the Sexual Health lead and provide routine appointments in addition to Intrauterine Contraception appointments. I have a young family and also enjoy keeping fit.’

‘I joined the Students’ Health Service in 2004 and have worked here full time since. In addition to my normal GP duties I provide minor surgery, I also work with other local practices to develop clinical commissioning.’

‘I have been a GP for over 20 years and most of them have been spent working here at Bristol University Students’ Health Service. I have seen a lot of changes during that time in the health problems that students present with and also the amount of stress and financial pressure they are experiencing; my fervent message is that University is meant to be fun (as well as hard work!). I work part time, mainly in term time, and I enjoy time away from work with my family. I have a special interest in diabetes.’

‘I qualified as a GP in 2004 whilst serving in the British Army. I provided medical care to military personnel whilst away on operations and to their wives and families when back in UK. From this I developed an interest in healthcare for young adults, particularly contraception, sexual health and sports injuries. I joined the team at Students’ Health in 2010 where I provide sessions in minor surgery and coil fitting alongside routine GP surgeries.’

'I qualified as a GP in 2007 after spending a few years in hospital medicine. As well as being a general doctor I am also a specialist GP in women's and sexual health including all areas of gynaecology. I am practice lead in women's health and contraception and work in hospital gynaecology on a weekly basis at Southmead hospital. I live nearby with my partner and my 1 and 2 year old little boy and girl.'
