Issues that can be brought to counselling
Having access to counselling in the workplace allows staff to explore, in a confidential setting, difficulties they may be experiencing with any aspect of living.
Although the Service is based in the workplace, the issues that can be taken to 'counselling' are not restricted only to work-related issues. The Service deals with a variety of problems.
These may include:
- coping with traumatic events
- stress management
- anxiety
- depression
- bereavement
- relationship difficulties at work and/or at home
- alcohol or other addictions
- physical illness
- sexual or other forms of harassment
- sexuality or other sexual issues
- disability
- social problems
- finance
- mid-life development
- career/work stress
- coping with change
